David L. Houck
David L. Houck, age 67, of Canton, died Sunday, April 30, 2006 in his home following an extended illness. Born Feb. 28, 1939 in Canton, OH. and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. A 1958 graduate of Canton South High School where he excelled in football. Retired from Union Metal and was formerly employed by McDonald Douglas in Tulsa, OK. He also had been an over the road truck driver which he truly enjoyed. David was an avid bowler. Preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Houck; his grandparents who raised him, Charles and Dorothy Houck. Survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna K. (Lippert) Houck; three daughters and son-in-law, Kimberly George of the home, Machell and Kirk Spencer of North Canton, Paula Houck of Houston, TX; six grandchildren, Amy, Chuck, Renata, Cory, Amanda and Ron; one brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Marsha Black of Jackson Twp; one sister and brother-in-law, Debby and Kent Wells of Chesapeake, VA; several nieces and nephews. There are no public services, a private family memorial service will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mercy Medical Center Hospice @ 7568 Whipple Ave. N.W., N. Canton, OH. 44720.
