David M. Dickinson
Age 62, of Canton, passed away Tuesday January 4, 2011 unexpectedly in his home. He was born August 12, 1948 in Dennison, OH to Leroy and Mildred (Peeper) Dickinson. David was a Canton area resident most of his life, retiring from Georgia Pacific and was also employed by Sears Hardware. He was a member of the East Canton Church of God. He is preceded in death by his father, Leroy Dickinson. David is survived by his wife, Joan (Marshall) to whom he was married 34 years; five children, Sethanie (Brian) Elliott, Clint (Jody) Dickinson, Grant (Joni) Dickinson, Shanna Hawthorne and Luke Dickinson; mother and step-father, Mildred and Kenny Gardner; 11 grandchildren; three sisters, Carol (Bill) Estell, Laura (John) Casteel, Mary (Dan) Dunfee; one brother, Fred (Connie) Dickinson; one uncle, Jack (Eve) Peeper; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted Monday January 10, 2011 at 10:00am in the East Canton Church of God at 201 E. Nassau St, East Canton, OH 44730 with Pastor Michael D. Jones officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family. The Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton is handling arrangements.
