David H. Chance
Age 78, of East Canton, passed away Friday December 29, 2017 surrounded by his loving family in his home. He was born March 3, 1939 in Portage County, OH to the late James W. and Agnes May (Knox) Chance. David was a hardworking truck driver who retired from Ohio Roll after 7 years of service and was formerly employed by Saunders Cartage for 27 years. He was an avid card player, story teller, passionate about fishing, hunting and classic cars. He is preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. David is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara A. (Smith) whom he adored and was married to for 52 years; three children, Melodi (Kirby) Mayle, Christina (Leland) Rentz and David Chance II; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
