David E. Barnes

Age 94, of Bolivar, OH passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Born March 2, 1924 in North Industry, Ohio to the late Lowell and Lucille (Shew) Barnes. He was a Canton Township resident most of his life and resident of Bolivar since 2006. David was a WWII U.S. Army Air Corps veteran. He retired from the Timken Company with 44 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Brethren Church where he formerly served as a deacon and a member of Pike Grange. David was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Donna J (Bechtel) Barnes; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Susan Barnes; a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Mark Lovetro; four grandchildren, Ben Lovetro, Kimberly (Alex) Hall, Joshua (Miranda) Barnes, Katelyn (Christopher) Foltz; a brother, Larry Barnes; a sister, Joann Bagent. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave with Pastor Ralph Gibson officiating. Interment in Northlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Brethren Church.
