Daniel “Dan” Isaiah Wilfong JR
passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022 at the age of 62, in his hometown of Canton, Ohio. His battle with a series of medical issues over the years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Dan came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. Dan passed with his beloved wife Rhonda by his side. Dan was born in Canton on October 6, 1960, to the late Daniel Isaiah Wilfong Sr. and Lois Jean Wilfong. The oldest son of 5 siblings, Dan didn’t have the opportunity for much formal education. He Graduated in 1978 from GlenOak High School, helped out his father with his electric company and worked any odd jobs he could find starting at an early age. His work ethic and desire to take care of his family led to him to being an outstanding role model and a member of the Plain Township Fire Department. Dan enjoyed Animals, Fishing, Car Models, Hot Tubs, relaxing at the beach, Sea Food, Being with his granddaughter and was always cracking a joke. Dan is survived by his wife Rhonda Kay Wilfong; children, Chad Daniel Wilfong, Brad Daniel (Abby) Wilfong, Rebecca Kay Wilfong, Jason Wilfong and Joshua Wilfong; grandchildren, Audrey Joshina White and Cleveland Wilfong; grand-dogs Sammie, Princess, Coco, Letty, Bella, Koda, Charlotte, Rosie and his beloved Lexus. A celebration of Daniel’s life will be Wednesday October 12, 2022 at 6:00pm in North Industry Christian Church with Ed Barnes officiating.
