Daniel G. Hanshaw
Age 54, of Magnolia died Saturday, November 8, 2014 in Akron General Hospital following an extended illness. Born February 13, 1960 in Akron, Ohio to the late Franklin and Lois (Spade) Hanshaw. He was a Magnolia resident for the past four years prior to which he resided in Mogadore, Ohio. Daniel retired from the U.S. Navy in 1998 with 21 years of service having served in Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He was also formerly employed by Kames Sports. Preceded in death by one brother, David Hanshaw. He is survived by his wife, Teresa E. (Devore) Hanshaw; four sons, Kyle Spitza of East Sparta, Raymond (Michelle) Spitza of Bowerston, Timothy Spitza of Guy, TX, Nathan Spitza of Magnolia; three grandchildren, Mattison, Parker and Jacob Spitza; one brother and sister-in-law, Franklin Jr. and Diana Hanshaw of Orlando, FL; one niece, Dawn Marie (Shane) Bacon of Florida; one nephew, Scott (Christine) Hanshaw of Florida. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Norman Slack officiating. Interment in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 pm.
