Daniel W. Decker, age 91, was born on January 1, 1932, in Canton Twp.; peacefully passed away on November 23, 2023, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late William Decker and Ruth (Reed) Decker.
Having dedicated 28 years of service as a Foreman with US Steel, Daniel enjoyed a fulfilling career. In addition to his work with the steel industry, he was the proud owner and operator of the Coin-Way Laundry. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Daniel served honorably.
Daniel faced the loss of loved ones with strength, being preceded in death by his late wife, Twila Decker, in 1988 and his most recent wife, Gloria Decker, in 2017, along with four brothers and one sister.
Those left to cherish his memories are his four daughters: Arlene (Ken) Brendle, Glenda (John) Drevon, Sonja Decker, and Andrea (John) Chadwick. He is also remembered by his five grandchildren: Daniel, Richard, Bryan, Adriane, and Jake, along with eight great-grandchildren and his sister, Carolyn Horvath.
Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 11 am to 12 pm. (noon) at Sanders Funeral Home to pay their respects. The funeral service will follow at 12 pm. (noon) also at Sanders Funeral Home. Following the service, Daniel will be laid to rest in Sunset Hills Burial Park, where he will receive military honors to commemorate his dedicated service to the United States Air Force.
