Daniel W. Davis
Age 64, of East Canton, passed away Sunday June 7, 2015 in Altercare of Alliance. We rejoice, knowing he is forever home with Jesus, our Savior whom he faithfully served! He was born June 12, 1950 in Massillon, OH to Joseph and Donna (Pope) Davis. Dan was formerly employed by Nickels Bakery for 16 years and a member of the Teamsters. He was a member of Louisville Christian Church where he had served as an usher and was active with the Cycle Fellowship and men's Bible study group. He enjoyed restoring antique cars, attending car shows, 50's-60's music and dancing. Dan was a kind-hearted, gentle, and forgiving man. He became a friend to everyone he met and eagerly proclaimed the Gospel to bring others to Christ. He is preceded in death by his mother, Donna Davis. Dan is survived by his wife, Darla (Penturf) Davis to whom he was married 14 years; three children and their spouses, Eric Davis, Jason and Courtney Davis, Rachel and Todd Angione; four step-children, Trevor, Tara, Tiffany and Trent Tomerine; seven grandchildren; his father, Joseph Davis; one brother, Richard (Cecelia) Davis, one sister, Candy (Ray) Cooke.
A memorial service and celebration of eternal life will be held Wednesday June 17, 2015 at 6:30pm in Louisville Christian Church with Pastor Rick Brown officiating with a meal following. Calling hours will be one hour before services at the church (5:30-6:30pm). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Palliative Care Fund Alliance City Hospital or Louisville Christian Church.
