Dana "Peck" B. Gibson, age 83, of Massillon, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at Massillon Community Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Webster Co. W.Va. to the late Frenchmen & Treacie (Rodgers) Gibson. Peck has lived in the Canton area for over 50 years retiring from Canton Local Schools and was employed by the Timken Co. for 11 years. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Benton, Pratt, Harley, Forrest (Red), Foster (Buck), Nick, and Carl Gibson. Survived by his wife Ruth (Bickel) Gibson of Massillon; daughters and sons-in-law, Flora & Bernard Dean of Ravenswood, W.Va., Patricia & Thomas Weyand of Massillon. Five Grandchildren, Mike (Debbie) Dean, Jeff (Dava) Dean, Lori (Kevin) Wood, Paula (Darnell) Washington, Shelly (Bill) Welker. 10 great-grandchildren, Robbie, Becky, Nick, Caitlin, Jen, Jake, Amy, Ryan, Libby, and Hallie; sister Martha Clark of Louisville, Ky; nephew, Ray Gibson of Canton. Funeral Service will be 11am, Saturday, April 1, 2006 in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Ron Howard officiating. Burial in Northlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 6-8pm and one hour prior to services Saturday (10-11am) at the funeral home.
