Cora Mae Krantz
Cora Mae Krantz, age 77, of Canton died Saturday, January, 5, 2008 in St. Luke Lutheran Home following an extended illness. Born Jan. 25, 1930 in Canton to the late Elmer and Sylvia (Ebersohl) Kenney. She was a life resident of Canton and graduated in 1951 from the Mercy School of Nursing as a registered nurse. Cora Mae retired from Timken Mercy Medical Center with 21 years of service. Member of the National, State, Pomona and Pike Granges, Stark County Grange Chorus, Ohio Power Retirees and the Retired Nurses Assoc. of Stark County. She also attended North Industry Christian Church and had volunteered with Meals On Wheels. Preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Krantz in 2005; two brothers, Robert and Larry Kenney. Survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Dennis Smith of Canton, Beth and Drew Patton of Ashland, Lucy and Mike McFee of Canton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Shelly Krantz of North Canton, Greg and Sandy Krantz of Canton; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at St Luke Lutheran Home for their wonderful care. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Mark Paul officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 - 8 pm with Pike Grange services at 5:45pm.
