Connie Lou (Slaybaugh) Youtz
Age 69, of East Canton, passed away Thursday May 1, 2014 after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 1, 1945 to Ferman and Marjorie (Phillipps) Slaybaugh of Hartville. Connie was a graduate of Hartville High School and had attended Bowling Green University. Her secretarial career included E.W. Bliss and Monarch Rubber Company. She was a member of Zoar United Church of Christ; active in 4-H and her children's activities while attending East Canton High School. Connie enjoyed gardening, flowers and swimming. She is preceded in death by her father, Ferman Slaybaugh. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert M. Youtz; one daughter, Terri Youtz; one son, Robbie Youtz both of North Carolina; her mother, Marjorie Slaybaugh; two sisters, Barb Taylor and Pam Lanzer all of Zoar; numerous nieces and nephews. In honoring Connie's wishes cremation has taken place and a service of remembrance will be conducted at a later date.
