Clifford W. Thorn, age 77, of East Canton died Tuesday, October 11, 2005 in his home. He was born, October 1, 1928, in Louisville, OH to the late Eugene A. and Mabel (Williamson) Thorn Sr. Clifford was an East Canton resident for the past 48 years and was a U.S. Air Force veteran with 5 years of service. He was employed by Macomber Steel for 25 years and retired from Colfor Inc. in 1994 after 17 years of service. Member of Indian Run Christian Church, where he served as deacon and treasurer since 1973, a 40 year member of the former Magnolia Grange, and served as treasurer for the Stark County Fair Board for 17 years. He is also preceded in death by two sisters, Rosamond White and Helen Schaub; one brother, Lewis Thorn; and two grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Jane M. (Vincent) Thorn to whom he was married 52 years; three sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas Thorn of Louisville, Russell and Debra Thorn of East Canton, Tim and Nancy Thorn of Canton South; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Bill Costello of Canton South; nine grandchildren, Russ, Kristen, Sabrina, Brooke, Katelyn, Beth, Clint, Micah and Joe; one brother, Eugene A. Thorn Jr. of Louisville; four sisters, Phyllis Aberegg of Atwater, Bernice Chevraux of Louisville, Martha Mowen of Warren and Lois Ringer of Louisville. Funeral services will be Friday, October 14, 2005 in Indian Run Christian Church at 11:00am with Terry Bailey officiating. Interment in Indian Run Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton and one hour before services at the church on Friday (10:00-11:00am). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Indian Run Christian Church New Building Fund at 7455 Hill Church St SE, East Canton, OH 44730.
