Clarence Lowman, Jr. passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025 after an extended battle with cancer. He was born on November 27, 1939, to Geneva and Clarence Lowman, Sr. in Caldwell, Ohio. He was the youngest of eight children and special to his immediate and extended family. Clarence married May Brunner on October 22, 1961.
Clarence worked at Diebold, Inc. and Union Metal as a metalworker to provide for his family. He was also a musician, playing guitar and piano for various bands on the weekends from his teenage years late into life.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, infant son Ron, and great-granddaughter Genevieve Waltrip.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, May Lowman; children, Dean (Loretta) Lowman, Sherry (Jon) Sprankle, and Walter (Stephanie) Lowman; grandchildren, Erin (Danny) Waltrip, Zac (Courtney) Sprankle, Ethan (Kasey Climes) Lowman, Tori (Gabriel Taylor) Sprankle, and Hannah Lowman; and great-grandchildren, Gabriel & Mikayla Waltrip, Grady & Halli Sprankle, and Bella Martinez. A special thank you to Gayle Smith, Clarence’s niece, who was a constant for our family during this time.
No services are scheduled at this time. Donations in memory of Clarence can be made to Canton Christian Home or Crossroads Hospice.
