Clara Edith Passmore
Clara Edith Passmore, age 77 of Canton, died Monday morning March 14, 2005 in Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. Born on June 14, 1927 in Harrison County, OH. to the late, Arthur J. and Erma F. (Gutshall) Baker. She was a Canton area resident most of her life and retired from AT&T in 1989 after 25 years of service. Member of Massillon Church of Christ where she taught Craddle Roll for 25 years. Volunteered with Doctor's Hospital for many years and Malvern Elementary School for 10 years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack K. Passmore in 1999; one brother, William Sherman Baker. Survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Susan Passmore of Uniontown; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jacqueline and Keith Crum of Beach City, Karen and Art Wright of Bolivar, Debi and Doug Elsass of Malvern; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Ardith Baker of Massillon; one sister, Ruth Gaston of Canton; sister-in-law, Dorotha Myers of St. Clairsville, OH; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday March 18, 2005 at 10 a.m. in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Glenn Hawkins officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Thursday 6 - 9 p.m. and one hour before the service on Friday (9 - 10 a.m.). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Massillon Church of Christ at 915 State Ave. NE, Massillon, OH. 44646.
