Charles W. Wood

Age 57, of Canton died Saturday, September 18, 2021 in Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. Born May 6, 1964 in Cuero, TX to Louis and Manuella (Canas) Wood.  He was a U.S. Airforce veteran of Desert Storm/Desert Shield. Chuck was a Canton resident for the past 31 years. He was employed with the U.S Postal Service and retired from U.S. Airforce Reserves. Chuck was a member of Canton Grace Brethren Church, American Legion Post #44, and had been involved with Boy Scout Troop #91 and Cub Scout Pack #38. Preceded in death by his father, Louis Wood and father-in-law, John Medley. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Pamela (Medley) Wood; four sons, Matthew, A.J., Nathan and Sammy Wood; Mother, Manuella Wood; mother-in-law, Judy Medley; two brothers-in-law and spouses, Dave and Linda Medley, Michael and Dasha Medley; several nieces, nephews and adopted children. Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 24, 2021 at 11:00 am in Canton Grace Brethren Church, 6283 Market Ave N., Canton, OH 44721, with Pastor Joe Cosentino officiating. Interment in East Union Lawn Cemetery, Navarre. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave.and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday from 10-11 am. Masks and social distancing will be required for all services. Memorial donations may be made to Canton Grace Brethren Church or Boy Scout Troop #91, 6132 Hilltop Dr NW, Strasburg, Oh 44680.
