Charles W. Wells
Charles W. Wells, age 74, of Canton, died Monday March 19, 2007 in his home following an extended illness. He was born August 6, 1932 in Carter County, KY, to the late John Langley and Thelma Beatrice (Stanley) Wells. He was an Army Veteran and a Canton area resident since 1957. Charles retired from Gregory Galvanizing in 1986 after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Army-Navy Garrison #150, and was the past Department, County and Garrison Commander. He served as a volunteer at the local Veterans Administration for many years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. He is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles Wells Jr. of Sandy Valley, Donald Wells of Canton, Ralph and Robin Wells of Canton; three daughters and a son-in-law, Susan Wells of Canton, Nancy Piatko of Canton, Cathy and Melvin Duff of Canton; 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Della Tessanne of Canton, Linda and Jack Wilson of East Sparta; one brother and sister-in-law, Ernie and Chris Wells of Canton. Funeral services will be Thursday March 22, 2007 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Dr. M. Dana Gammill officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8pm and one hour before services on Thursday (12-1pm).
