Charles A. Evans, age 72, of Louisville, died Tuesday September 18, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born May 16, 1935 in Barnesville, OH, to the late Forest H. and Edna (Thomas) Evans. Charles was a 1953 graduate of Massillon Washington High School and was an East Canton area resident for 50 years. He retired from SARTA in 1997 after 10 years of service and was formerly employed by the Diebold Co. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Evans in 1998; one brother, Kenneth Evans. He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles A. Evans Jr. of East Canton, David and Deborah Evans of Marlboro; one grandson, Dennis Evans; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Sandy Evans of Millwood, WV; one sister, Mildred Conger of Massillon. Funeral services will be Thursday September 20, 2007 at 11:00am in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Rev. Barry R. Stirbens officiating.
