Charles J. “Buzz” Dyer

Age 85, of Canton, passed away Sunday February 13, 2022 in the Gables of Canton. He was born January 2, 1937 in Canton, OH to the late Robert T. and Dorothy M. (Stitt) Dyer. Buzz was a 1955 graduate of Canton South High School and had attended Kent State University. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a Canton resident most of his life. He retired from Ashland Oil in 1995 after 31 years of service. Buzz was a member of North Industry Christian Church, an avid golfer and enjoyed everything that involved his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Harriet L. Dyer in 2017; one brother, Thomas Dyer. Buzz is survived by two children, Jeff (Emily) Dyer and Diane (Eric) Kittelberger; six grandchildren, Matthew (Courtney) Kittelberger, Macy Kittelberger, Jacob and Cole Dyer, Jack and Addie Lightner. Funeral services will be Wednesday February 16, 2022 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Jeff Franks officiating. Burial will be in Melscheimer Cemetery.
