Carolyn A. Mathiellis

Age 70, of Middelburg Heights, Ohio passed away Monday, August 29, 2022 in Southwest General Hospital following an extended illness. Born June 24, 1952 in Murphy, NC to the late Allen and Marie Coffey. She was a Canton Timken High School graduate and had been a Middelburg Heights resident for the past 40 years. Carolyn was formerly employed by PNC Bank. She was a member of Canton Baptist Temple where she formerly served as a Sunday school teacher. Preceded in death by a brother, Richard Coffey. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Paul K. Mathiellis; a daughter, Jennifer (Anthony) Grande; a granddaughter, Jill (Steve) Nelson; a great granddaughter, Noelle Nelson; sister, Ruth Morrison; brother, David Coffey; numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly; and her extended family in California. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Southwest General Hospital for the excellent care and compassion that they gave to Carolyn. Funeral service will be Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 am.  Memorial donations may be made in Carolyn’s name to the Canton Baptist Temple or the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Cleveland, OH.
