Carolyn M. (Fitzgerald) King Richards Gallowich
Age 94 was born May 27, 1921 in Milwaukee, WI to Ruby & Harry Fitzgerald, and passed away after a brief illness Sunday, December 27. She graduated from Chattanooga High School and was previously employed by the following businesses in Pittsburgh: Kauffman’s Statistical Dept., GMAC, Algeo’s Pharmacy and Max Neely CPA. Carolyn also volunteered for many years at John J. Kane in Pittsburgh. She moved to Ohio 8 years ago and was a member of the Mt. Lebanon Lutheran Church.
Carolyn was preceded in death by husbands, Rupert K. Richards and Glenn Gallowich, father, Harry Fitzgerald, mother and step-father Ruby J. and Charles E. King and beloved sister and brother-in-law Virginia and William Llewellyn and step grandson, Doug Ebert.
Carolyn is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Rodger Ebert, four grandchildren, Dawn (Jim) Olsen, Sean (Tana) Garaux, Doug (Beth) Garaux and Shannon Ebert; 9 great grandchildren, Brandon Geis, Codey, Tyler, Nicholette, Zion, Julia and Mycah Garaux, Evan and Dalton Ebert and three step-grandchildren, Rachel, Zach and Michael Olsen; one great-great grandson, Kekoa Garaux; a very special “daughter”, Kathy Maedinger; a dear friend, Queen Esther Price. Carolyn was a lover of cats and leaves behind two special cats, Megan and Chessie.
There will be no calling hours per Carolyn’s request. Cremation will take place and internment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Animal Shelters of your choice. You may leave condolences at www.bjeoh104@yahoo.com.
