Carole S. Gillilan

Carole S Gillilan, age 86, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 26, 1938, in Meigs County, Ohio. She was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her.

Carole was known for her vibrant spirit and her unwavering kindness. She had a passion for reading, church related activities & spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her wonderful neighbors & friends. Her spirit shined in everything she did. Whether she was teaching Sunday school or helping take care of customers at the print shop, she brought joy and inspiration to those around her.

She is survived by her husband, Carl J Gillilan, daughter, Diana L Saunier of Canton, OH, sons, Carl J Gillilan, Jr. "Joey" (Maria) of Pace, Fla., twins, Keith R Gillilan (Mary) of Canton, OH, Kevin P Gillilan (Vicky) of East Canton, OH and a sister, Doris Sayre of Racine, OH. Carole was a very proud & caring grandmother of 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren & several nieces, nephews & cousins, who will forever cherish her memory and strive to live by the values she instilled in them. Her legacy of love, compassion, and spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton "Pop" & Ethel (Ward) Johnson, sisters, Mary Gillilan & Betty Combs, brothers, Jim, Clyde, Emerson, Gary & Roger Johnson.

In keeping with Carole's wishes, there will be no services at this time. However, a celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Team Jesus Church from 11:00am - 2:00pm, located at 7096 Hills and Dales Road NW, Canton Ohio 44708.

 Carole will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
