Carol J. Fether, age 83, of Canton, died Friday, June 3, 2005 in Manor Care following an extended illness. Daughter of the late Cecil and Emma (Griffith) Saunders. She was a Canton area resident most of her life and had attended Trinity Gospel Temple. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Fether in 1976; one daughter, Carol Jo Fether; one grandson, Vance Rohrer; and one daughter-in-law, Dena Fether. Survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Elaine Fether of East Sparta, John and Jo Fether of Land O' Lakes, FL; Vance Fether, Shane Fether and Curt Fether, all of Canton; six daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Schopmeyer, Sue Eakle, Mary "Becky" Mathers, all of Canton, Sherry and Clay Douglas of Canton, Doreen and Dave Kelley of Rittman, OH, Tammy Rohrer and Joe Johnson of Canton; 32 grnadchildren; 32 great-grandchildren. A private family service will be Sunday in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Terry Bailey officiating.
