Carl H. Welker
Age 93, of Terry, Mississippi and formerly of Canton, OH. passed away peacefully in his home in Terry, MS surrounded by his family following a brief illness. Born July 11, 1923 in Canton, Ohio to the late Errett and Helen (Sponseller) Welker. He was a Terry, MS. resident since 2005 prior to which he resided in Canton, OH. most of his life. Carl was a U.S. Army WWII veteran. He was retired from Sugardale Provision with 20 years of service and he had also been a carpenter for many years. Preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine Welker; one daughter, Linda Simmers; one brother, Wayne Welker. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Welker of Nevada; two daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl and Alton Walker of Terry, MS., Barbara Welker of Garner, NC; one step son, Mark Lewton of Nevada; one granddaughter, Jennifer Deibel; two great grandchildren, Nicholas and Marissa Brown; one brother, Edward Welker of Canton. Graveside services will be Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016 at 1:30 pm in the chapel of Sunset Hills Burial Park, 5001 Everhard Rd NW, Canton, OH. 44718, with Terry Bailey officiating.
