Carl D. “Spanky” Taylor

Age 74, of Canton, passed away Saturday May 28, 2016 in Rose Lane Health Center. He was born July 15, 1941 in Strange Creek, WV. Carl was a Vietnam Air Force veteran and a member of the NRA. He retired from the UAW Local #542, Ford Motor Company after more than 20 years of service. In 1979 he was the head coach of the State Champion Faircrest Hawks Baseball team. He is preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Taylor; one sister and one brother. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Gray) Taylor to whom he was married 52 years; three sons, Fred, Mark and Michael Taylor; three grandchildren; two brothers, Fred and Ernie Davis. Family and friends will be received Saturday June 4, 2016 from 2-6pm in the family home. There are no other services.
