Carl F. "Frank" Stephens
Carl F. "Frank" Stephens, age 68, of Louisville, passed away Thursday September 25, 2008 in Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born January 26, 1940 in North Lawrence, OH, to the late Vaden S. and Mabel J. (Stoneman) Stephens. Frank was a 1958 graduate of Timken High School, a Louisville resident for the past 3 years and formerly resided in the Jackson and North Canton area. He retired from Canton Malleable in 1990 after 30 years of service and retired from Marco Manufacturing, Akron, after 13 years. Frank was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church where he had served in many capacities and a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Louisville. Member of Julliard Lodge #460 F & AM, Eastern Star Chapter #400, where he served as Past Patron, former member of Scottish Rite Valley of Canton and was very active with the Peddling Parsons. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Vada Miller and Dorothy Bernhardt; one brother, Glenn Stephens. He is survived by his wife, Barbara E. (Gauze) to whom he was married 20 years; two daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and John Gerber of Louisville, Traci and Michael Stoddard of Canton; one son, Todd Stephens of N. Canton and his girl friend, Lori Habony; five grandchildren, Brandin Stephens, John and Nicole Gerber, Ian and Kelsey Stoddard; two step-sons, Rodney Nohl of Marengo, IL, Bryan Nohl of San Juan Bautista, CA; one step-daughter, Colleen Edwards of Louisville; four step-grandchildren, Allan, Angela and Christopher Nohl, Nathan Edwards. Funeral services will be Monday September 29, 2008 at 10:00am in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Dr. Larry Hinkle and Rev. Don Richards officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Peddling Parsons at 1720 Schneider St NW, N. Canton, OH 44720.
