Carl W. "Bill" Conley
Age 65, of Canton, passed away Tuesday July 6, 2010. He was born May 8, 1945 in Canton to the late Carl W. and Leona (DeHart) Conley. Bill was a 1963 graduate of Lake High School where he participated in football and was a former shot put record holder in track. He was a Canton area resident most of his life and formerly had resided in Michigan for 20 years. He retired from the Department of Corrections in the State of Michigan after 20 years of service. He was a former member of the VFW post #3747, Army/Navy Garrison #2003 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles aerie #2370. Bill was a great man of integrity, dedicated to his family and friends and had a wealth of knowledge. He is survived by his wife, Helen J. (Vrabec) to whom he was married 16 years; two daughters, Kim Wilson, Angie Cochran of Jackson Michigan; two grandchildren, Kora and Alanah; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Tony Vankuilen of Canton, Mildred "Jackie" and John Geiger of East Canton; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, George and Pam Vrabec of Canton, Sue Kisamore and Ann Farr both of Clearwater, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; good friends, Ernie and Kris; his cat, Midnight. Funeral services will be Monday July 12, 2010 at 1:00pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor David Ryan officiating. Friends may call one hour before services on Monday (12-1pm).
