Carl L. Anthony
Age 86, of East Canton, passed away Wednesday May 4, 2016 in Aultman Hospital. He was born November 26, 1929 in Mapleton, OH to the late Roy G. and Florence (Zimmerman) Anthony. Carl was a 1947 graduate of East Canton High School and an Army veteran. He was the former owner/operator of Anthony Farm for 50 years and served as Osnaburg Township Cemetery Sexton for 23 years. Carl was a member of Christ Memorial Church, Robertsville where he had served as a board member and Robertsville Cemetery Sexton for 43 years. He was a member of Robertsville Grange #1784 and Farm Bureau Council 2L. In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by one nephew, Denny Unkefer. He is survived by his wife, Louise E. (Clausing) to whom he was married 63 years; five children and their spouses, Betty and Clyde Oyer, Rick and Jackie Anthony, Linda and Chuck Parker, Carla and Tim Ward, Mary and Roy Haines; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Martha Unkefer Haubert; several nieces and one nephew. Funeral services will be Monday May 9, 2016 at 11:00am in Christ Memorial Church with Pastor Jonathon Arnold Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Robertsville Cemetery. Friends will be received Sunday 4-7pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton and one hour before services on Monday at the church (10-11am). Grange services will be Sunday at 3:30pm.
