Calvin F. Mottice
Age 84, of East Canton, passed away Wednesday April 17, 2013 in Aultman Hospital. He was born September 21, 1928 in Mapleton, OH to the late John and Elsie (Weber) Mottice. Calvin was a life resident of the Mapleton area and a Korean War Army veteran. He retired from The Timken Company in 1985 after 39 ½ years of service. Calvin was a member of Indian Run Christian Church, Swiss Alliance, and founding member of the Mapleton Gun Club. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, John and David Mottice; two sisters, Margaret Reed and Dorothy Teeter; daughter-in-law, Martha Mottice. He is survived by his wife, Katherine I. "Kate" Mottice to whom he was married 62 years; one son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Diane Mottice of Columbus, OH; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Skip Norman of East Canton, Cheryl and Jack Duell of East Canton; four grandchildren, Brandon (Julie) Mottice, Matthew (Melonie) Mottice, Jarrod Mottice and April Richmond; three sisters, Eleanor Mason, Florence (Dick) Clapper and Carol LaForte. A graveside service will be Monday April 22, 2013 in Mapleton Cemetery with Terry Bailey officiating.
