Maxine Carpenter
Age 81, of Canton, passed away Monday February 21, 2011 in the Hospitality House, Massillon, OH after a two year battle with cancer. She was born April 6, 1929 in Flushing, OH to the late Alfred J. and Lillian (McWilliams) Walter. She was a member of Perry Baptist Temple and retired from Finney's Drug Store. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Neal Carpenter; one brother, Michael Walter. She is survived by one son, Dale Gordon of Bethesda, OH; one brother, Jay (Lona) Walter of Hickory, NC; two sisters-in-law, Marge (Harold) Ebert of N. Canton, Carolyn (David) Murphy of East Sparta; one brother-in-law, Charles Carpenter of Canton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be Saturday February 26, 2011 at 11:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Timothy Teall officiating. Friends may call one hour before services on Saturday (10-11am). Burial will be Saturday at 2:00pm in Salem Cemetery, Hendrysburg, OH.
