Bonnie L.(Babik) Steele
affectionately known by family and friends as "Birdie", age 71, of Stow, OH, passed away Monday November 16, 2009 in Summa Health Systems Hospitals, Akron, OH. following a courageous battle. She was born October 31, 1938 in Canton, to the late Thomas and Dorothy (Harmon) Babik. Bonnie was a 1956 graduate of Canton South High School and a resident of Stow for the past 38 years. She was active in her children's School's PTA activities and the Stow Band Parents Organization. Bonnie was very involved in the family business, Riverfront Coffee Mill from 2000 to the time of her illness. She is survived by her beloved husband, Raymond E. Steele to whom she was married 50 years; two daughters, Kathy (Dennis) Dias of Norton, OH, Kelly Steele (Doug Moore) of Brecksville, OH; six grandchildren, Kara, Andrew, Adam, Kelsey Dias, Madison Pierce and Shai Anne Moore; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Bill Snyder of East Sparta, Marcia and Bob Johnston of N. Canton, Pam and Chuck Kish of North Carolina; one brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Nancy Babik of Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Bonnie's life will be Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 2:30pm at the Hartville Kitchen, 1015 Edison St., Hartville, OH. 44632.
