“Ressler Strong”

Beverly A. Sanders, age 79, of Canton, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 18, 1945, in Canton to William M. Hartenstein and Betty (Farr) Tincher, Beverly was a 1963 graduate of Canton Lincoln High School.

Beverly dedicated many years to Aultman Hospital, beginning her career as a nursing aide before becoming a unit assistant in various departments. After retiring, she continued her passion for connecting with people as a cashier and beloved “Walmart Greeter,” always known for her warm smile, helping hand, and steadfast spirit. True to the family motto, “Ressler Strong,” Beverly was a pillar of strength, kindness, and resilience. Above all, her greatest joy was found in time spent with her cherished children and grandchildren.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William E. Sanders; sister, Janet Rector; and brothers, Joseph, Charles, and John Hartenstein.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Robert L. (Julie) Ressler III and Bryan M. (Melissa) Ressler; daughters, Deann (Tom) Frank and Jen R. Ressler; and special friend, Terri Carson; twelve grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers Robert Hartenstein and William Hartenstein III along with many extended family members and friends who will hold her memory close.

In accordance with Beverly’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be arranged by her family at a later date. For updates, please refer to her online obituary. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Beverly’s memory.
