Beverly L. Gibbons
Age 73, of Largo, Florida passed away peacefully May 12, 2011. She was born in Canton, OH. and is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Roscoe and Bertha Mae (Abbott) McCoy; five brothers and three sisters. She is survived by four children, Debra, Mel, Penny and Stacy; one sister, Betty Jo Rucker; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Beverly graduated from Strasburg Franklin High School in 1957, volunteered as a Girl Scout leader, for the American Red Cross and was a member of the Women of the Moose for many years. Beverly opened a youth center in Strasburg in the mid-1970s and became a surrogate mom for many of the town's youth. Her charitable spirit and enduring love will be missed by all those she touched. Please help us celebrate her life on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 1:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Ruthann Bosley officiating.
