Betty M. Neading, age 81, of Canton died in her home Sunday, April 24, 2005, following an extended illness. Born in Canton, OH on January 4, 1924 to the late Samuel and Hannah (Lewis) Stokes. She was a life resident of the Canton area. Betty, along with her husband, Gene were retired owner/operators of Gene Neading Mower Shop for 45 years. Member of North Industry Christian Church, Canton South Women's Club and charter member and past secretary of the Canton South AARP. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene F. Neading Sr, in 2003; one sister, Orpha Sponseller; two brothers, Jean and Merle Stokes. Survived by one daughter, Suzanne Neading of Mineral City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene F, Jr and Donna Neading of Wheat Ridge, CO, Mark and Sue Neading of Canton; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren. Graveside services will be Thursday, April 28, 2005 at 11 am in Melscheimer Cemetery with Stephen Kimbrel officiating. Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. in charge of arrangements.
