Betty J. McCoy, age 79, of Hanoverton, died Thursday November 2, 2006 in Salem Hospital following a brief illness. She was born February 21, 1927 in Marietta, OH, to the late Wallace and Icea (Stout) Rumbold. Betty was a member of South Zanesville United Methodist Church and had attended Eden Church of the Brethren. She was formerly employed by the Diebold Company. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James R. McCoy in 1999; a son-in-law, David Homer; three brothers and a sister. Betty is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Phillip Grossenbacher of Canton, Cheryl Homer of Hanoverton, Marsha and Bill Eudy of Bolivar; one son and daughter-in-law, James E. and Patricia McCoy of Canton; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday November 6, 2006 at 1:00pm in Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Shawn Eller officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
