Betty G. Mathews, age 54, of Canton died Friday, June 13, 2008 in Manor Care Health Services following an extended illness. Born May 9, 1954 in Canton and was a life resident. She was a 1973 graduate of Canton South High School. Member of Market Avenue Church of Christ was she had been a former Bible School Teacher. Betty loved to work with plastic canvas and other crafts. Preceded in death by her father, Charles E. Mathews; one nephew, William M. Mathews. Survived by her mother, Hazel V. (Bonam) Mathews of Canton; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley Snyder of Canton, Connie and Robert Ertel of Massillon, Deborah and Leo Edwards of Canton; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Stephanie Mathews of Canton; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, June 16, 2008 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Keith Kull officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
