Betty Ann Koniecko
Age 66, of Alliance passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 in Aultman Hospital after a difficult and courageous battle with cancer that she fought hard up to her final moment. Born January 24, 1947 in Canton, Ohio to the late Edmond and Grace (Joliff) Adolph. She was a 1965 graduate of Canton South High School. Betty Ann earned a Bachelor of Art Degree in 1968 and her Master's Degree in 1976 in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University. She was retired from Canton City Schools after 40 years of service. She had also been an adjunct professor at Ashland University, Massillon Campus where she taught graduate level Early Childhood Education Courses. She was a member of the Executive Committee of CPEA. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, John E. Koniecko; four children and spouse, Beth and Brent Ransom, John Koniecko, Laura Koniecko and Michael Koniecko; three grandchildren, Aiden, Lucas and Brianna; one brother, Edward Adolph; one sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Hal Millage; many special friends whom she loved dearly. A memorial service will be Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014 at 4:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Stephen Kimbrel officiating. Friends may call three hours prior to the service on Sunday from 1-4pm.
