Betty J. Heisler
Betty J. Heisler, age 85, of Canton died Saturday, October 6, 2007 in her sister's home following a brief illness. Born November 27, 1921 in Massillon, OH. to the late William H. and Marie D. (Dauer) Harbaugh. She was Canton area resident most of her life and also resided in Melbourne, FL. for 23 years. Retired from Harris Electric Company in Palmbay, FL. in 1976 after 16 years of service. Member of North Industry Christian Church and the AARP. Preceded in death by her husband, Grant A. Heisler in 1983; a daughter, Betty Ann Gara; infant son, Billy McKinney; step son, Rex Heisler; step daughter, Sandy; two sisters, Marie Malavite and Rose Ann Karcher. Survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Richard Hickman of Mansfield; three step daughters, Betty Ray, Vera and Linda; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, William and Jean Harbaugh of Magnolia; one sister, Martha Hockensmith of Canton; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice for their wonderful care given to Betty. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Mike Malavite officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 - 8 pm.
