Betty J. George
Age 87, of Canton, passed away Sunday December 19, 2010 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. She was born June 27, 1923 in Canton to the late Charles and Gladys (Casto) Gantz. Betty was a life resident of the Stark County area and was a 1941 graduate of Navarre High School. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church where she was active with the Mary Martha Circle and the Sociable Sixties. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth George in 1992. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Brenda George of Navarre, Dennis and Margaret George of Steubenville, OH; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday December 21, 2010 at 1:00pm in Otterbein United Methodist Church with Pastor James Zimmerman officiating. Interment in East Union Lawn Cemetery, Navarre, OH. Friends may call one hour before services at the church (12-1pm). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Otterbein United Methodist Church at 6025 Shepler Church Rd SW, Navarre, OH 44662.
