Betty Lou Foringer,
Age 90, joined her husband, Robert, in heaven on February 19, 2022. Lifetime resident of Canton, OH and proud graduate of McKinley High School (Class of 1950). Also preceded in death by her parents Mary & Clarence Neilson, sisters Vivian and Doris and grandson, Dean.
Betty was a fiercely independent and determined woman. Deeply proud of her children; Keith (Bobbi) Foringer and Kathy (Bert) Newman; grandchildren, Becky (Rick) Rothrauff, Halley (Grant) Hookway, Nate Newman (Erin Perry), Katy (Kyle) Fetty, and Ben (Mikayla) Foringer. Betty found the most joy in her eight great-grandchildren. While separated by generation, they will forever be bound together in memory.
She taught her family to face the task at hand, no matter the circumstance, with determination and pride. God packed the biggest punch into the tiniest little body. Traveling the country autonomously, Betty confidently pulled her fifth wheel camper to meet friends old and new, even finding a second chance at love.
Betty worked hard all her life. She held various jobs but spent most of her working years in the book bindery at Danner Press, retiring after 30 years of service.
She was a proud member of many organizations, most notably Buckeye Bacon Burners camping club; Solos and the local chapter of AARP.
Memorial service will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, February 26 at North Industry Christian Church 425 45th St SW, Canton, OH 44706. Steve Kimbrel officiating.
