Bessie M. Unkefer
Bessie M. Unkefer, age 96, of Waynesburg, died Saturday April 21, 2007 in Green Meadows Health and Wellness Center following a brief illness. She was born November 26, 1910 in Waynesburg, OH, to the late James Herbert and Tina Myrtle (Christine) Weaver. Bessie was a life resident of Waynesburg and a life member of Indian Run Christian Church where she served as an Organist and Sunday School Teacher for more than 60 years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph D. Unkefer in 1997; one grandson, Dennis Lee Unkefer; one son, Donald Unkefer; three brothers, Ralph, Herbert and Harry Weaver; two sisters, Flossie DeHoff and Lucy Fallot. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Stewart and Bertha Unkefer of East Canton, Russell and Ruth Unkefer of Minerva, Larry and Patty Unkefer of Louisville, Phil and Carla Unkefer of Louisville; one daughter and son-in-law, Twila and Stanton Herstine of Louisville; 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday April 26, 2007 at 11:00am in the Indian Run Christian Church with Terry Bailey officiating. Interment in Indian Run Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton and one hour before services at the church (10-11am).
