Bernice D. Wise
Bernice D. Wise, age 95, of Canton, passed away Thursday January 24, 2008 in the Canton Regency following an extended illness. She was born January 6, 1913 in Cleveland, OH, to the late Homer and Dorothy (Rebstock) Weida. Bernice was a life resident of the Canton area and retired from the Hoover Company after 30 years of service. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Molly Pitcher Chapter #10 Daughters of America. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Elden Wise in 1988; two sisters, Verle Weida and Jeanette Willette. She is survived by one daughter, Marie Wise of Navarre; one brother, H. Earl Weida of North Canton; six nephews, Scott, Gregg and Kent Weida, Chuck, Doug and Denny Shaffer; one niece, Jackie Slabaugh; two sisters-in-law, Viola Shaffer and Verla Riley. Funeral services will be Tuesday January 29, 2008 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services on Tuesday (12-1pm).
