Bernice Laskey,
Bernice Laskey, age 84, of Canton, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully, Sunday, January 9, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. Born in Johnstown, PA. She moved to Canton at an early age. A member of All Saints Polish Catholic Church and member of the DAV. Proceded in death by her husband, Ernest, parents, two brothers and one sister, and a nephew. Survived by two daughters, Kathleen and Jeffrey Popick and daughter Judith Laskey (with whom she resided)one sister, Mary Strednicky, two grand-daughters, Nicole Popick and (finance) Donald G. Jones, Kristen and Wayne Knepper, three great grand-daughters, Ali, Taylor, Katelyn Knepper, special cousin Stella Quinn, brother-in-law, Richard and Christine Laskey, several nieces and nephews, special care givers, Mary Garcia, Ronnie Jones, and Diane Harlow. The family would like to thank the staff at 10 Main at Mercy Medical Center, Dr. Michael H. Linz and office staff, all the employees at Callas Home Care, Darla Bishop and Father Tom. A mass of christian burial will be Wednesday Jan. 12, 2005 at 10:00am in All Saints Polish Catholic Church with Fr. Tom Bishop celebrant. Interment in Calvary Cemetery at the convience of the famiy. Bernice requested no calling hours or other services.
