Barbara A Michel

Barbara A. Michel, age 89, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2024, in Brewster Parke Nursing Home. She was born in Logan, West Virginia to the late Ernest and Wilma (Grimmett) Jones.

Barbara enjoyed games including bingo, Yahtzee and Diamond Dotz. In her earlier years she enjoyed cooking and sewing.

Besides her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer J. Michel; son, William J Michel; daughter, Judy M. Martino; her two sisters, Francis Messersmith, Bonnie Jones and her brother, Ray Jones.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Linda (Robert) Patterson, Bonnie Hardman, Mary Ann and (Jerry) Franks, Nancy Michel, Jeannette (David) Cottrill; sister, Pasty (Ron) Lang; 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 5 great- great grandchildren. 

A visitation will be held Monday, July 1, 2024, from 12:00-1:00pm at Kreighbaum Sanders Funeral Home. There will be a funeral service at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Fr. Kevin Peters as celebrant. Barbara will be laid to rest at St. Clement Cemetery in Navarre.
