Barbara R. Kidder
Age 96, of Canton died Saturday, December 26, 2015 in her home. Born September 4, 1919 in Canton, Ohio to the late Emery and Margaret (John) Lizer. She was a life resident of Canton and had served as a” Rosie the Riveter” during WWII. Barbara retired from Canton Local Schools where she worked in the cafeteria at Amos McDannel and Canton South High Schools. She had also worked as a seamstress for Bloomfield. Barbara was a member of North Industry United Methodist Church where she was involved with the Golden Links Quilters. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 1996; 5 sisters, Jolain Kiisel, Magdalene Lizer, Margaret Lizer, Elizabeth Danchey and Eva Nemeth; two brothers, John and James Lizer. She is survived by a special nephew and spouse, William and Pearl Lizer of Canton; many generations of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave with Pastor Jeri K. Johnson officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday from 10-11 am. Memorial donations may be made to North Industry United Methodist Church.
