Barbara J. Gastin
Age 81, of Canton, passed away Wednesday August 3, 2011 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born July 28, 1930 in Louisville, OH to the late Robert and Helen (Shepherd) Rinehart. Barbara was a life resident of the Louisville and Canton area and was a 1951 graduate of the Aultman School of Nursing. She retired from St. Joseph Care Center and was formerly employed by Dr. E. J. Davis for 20 years. She was a member of the East Canton Church of God. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, E. Eldon "Jack" Gastin in 2001; one brother, Robert Wayne Rinehart in 1997. She is survived by one daughter, Lori Gastin of Canton; one nephew whom she raised, Roger Smith of Cadiz, OH; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday August 8, 2011 at 11:00am in the East Canton Church of God with Pastor Michael Jones officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call one hour before services at the church (10-11am). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the East Canton Church of God at 201 E. Nassau St, East Canton, OH 44730.
