Avery L. Haney
Age 83, of New Philadelphia, Ohio died Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in Hennis Care Center, Bolivar. Born January 19, 1934 in Yancy County, North Carolina to the late William Rosco and Hazel (Barlow) Haney. He was a New Philadelphia resident since 1993 prior to which he resided in the Canton and Malvern areas. Avery retired from Hydro-Dyne in 1993 after 19 years of service and was formerly employed by Macomber Inc. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by one son, Jerry Haney. He is survived by two daughters, Judy Chatterson of Somerdale, Melinda Lake of East Canton; five grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10:00 am in Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2615 Prairie College St SW, Canton, OH. 44706, with Pastor Allen Little officiating. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5:30 – 7:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave.
