Audward "Audie"Brice Mayle,
Audward "Audie" Brice Mayle, age 83, of Canton, died Wednesday morning in Meadow Wind Health Care Center following an extended illness. Son of the late Columbus
and Ivy Myrtle (Kennedy)Mayle. He was an Ohio area resident for the past 36 years and a graduate of Phillippi High School, Phillippi,
WV. He was employed as a construction worker
and coal miner in West Virginia. Member of Union Local #1015 where he was a former business
manager. He played minor league baseball with the Boston Braves Farm Team, Phillippi Red Sox
and in the Dalton League. A World War II Marine Corps. Veteran. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marie (Bevilock) Mayle;
two brothers, Pronty and Arthur; two sisters, Dorothy and Genevieve. Survived by four sons anddaughters-in-law Eric Brice of Canton; Jeffrey and Sue Mayle of Phillippi, WV; Mickey and Teri Mayle of Canton; Frank Mayle of Canton; one daughter and
son-in-law, Constance and Raymond McGee of Canton;12 Grandchildren, Eric Jr, Ericka, Rea, Philip, Anita, Joseph, Lisa, Matt, Ellisha, Evan, Brice, and Lia, 7
great-grandchildren, one sister, Portia Dalton of
New York; a special friend, Millie Andrews; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service
will be Friday at 7pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Sister
Fredricka Stewart officiating. Friends may call two hours before services on Friday (5-7pm).
Inurnment in West Hill Cemetery, Grafton, WV at a later date.
