Arthur F. Shurie
Age 73, of Canton, passed away Saturday October 16, 2010 in Hennis Care Center with his wife by his side. He was born July 11, 1937 in Fairmont, WV to the late Frank and Catherine (Zuzack) Shurie. Arthur was a Canton resident since 1965 and retired from Union Metal after 25 years of service. He was a former member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Margaret G. (Stephenson) to whom he was married 50 years; one son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Brenda Shurie Jr. of Canton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Michael Schmanke of Alabama, Tanya and Chris Young of Canton, Daunel and John Blose of Canton; eight grandchildren, Joshua, Kayla, Shae, Jacob, Rebecca, Abreanna, Aaron and Lydia; one great-grandson, Dominic; one brother, six sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday October 19, 2010 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Chaplain Paul Rudy officiating. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery.
