Arleen M. Hanlin
Age 79 of Canton passed away Tuesday November 2, 2021, in Mercy Medical Center. She was born July 17, 1942, in Canton to the late Walter and Idamae O. (Freide) Mozden. Arleen was a 1960 graduate of Canton South High School and a member of St. Joan of Arc Parish. She retired from the Akron/Canton Regional Food Bank after more than 25 years of service. Following her retirement, she served as interim director for the Stark County Hunger Task Force and operated the St. Joan of Arc Parish Food Pantry. Arleen was awarded the 2021 Hunger Fighter of the year by the Stark County Hunger Task Force. Arleen is survived by two children, Tammy Horton and John (Robyn) Hanlin; four grandchildren, Mandi (Chris) Hostetler, Lonnie W. Horton, Danny (Molly) Simich and Sydnee Hanlin; two great-grandchildren, Mason Horton and Wyatt Hostetler; two sisters, Rebecca Edwards and Carol Mozden; one brother, Kenneth (Cheryl Long) Mozden; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday November 5, 2021, at 2:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Fr. Brian Cline officiating. Entombment will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
