Argia Showalter
Age 85, of East Canton, passed away Thursday September 5, 2013 in her home. She was born July 10, 1928 in Madriso, Italy to the late Pete and Mercedes (DiFant) Pugnale. Argia was a 1947 graduate of East Canton High School and was an East Canton resident most of her life. She was employed by East Canton Printing for 40 years, Stark County Board of Elections for 45 years and was the former owner/operator of Evelyn's Beauty Shop. She was a member of St. Mary's/St. Benedict Parish in Canton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marland J. Showalter in 2010. She is survived by three children and their spouses, David and Joyce Showalter of East Canton, Vicky and David Budinger of Cincinnati, OH, Chris and Patty Showalter of East Canton; five grandchildren, David, Andrew, Brennan, Calvin and Valerie; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ovidio and Valerie Pugnale of Dayton, OH, Frank and Joan Pugnale of Louisville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday September 7, 2013 at 9:00am in the St. Benedict Catholic Church with Fr. Benson Okpara as celebrant. Interment in St. Louis Cemetery, Louisville.
